FIRSTavenue appoints Alasdair Maclay as Partner and Global Head of Real Assets and Private Equity Advisory

London, 2 February, 2026 – FIRSTavenue is pleased to announce the appointment of Alasdair Maclay as Partner and Global Head of Real Assets and Private Equity Advisory.

Alasdair brings over 20 years’ international experience across private equity and real assets investing, capital raising, and fund advisory. In his new role, he will lead FIRSTavenue’s global real assets and private equity advisory platform.

Alasdair also has a long-standing relationship with FIRSTavenue, having worked closely with the firm as a client during his time at Actis, where FIRSTavenue advised on multiple capital raising initiatives.

Prior to joining FIRSTavenue, Alasdair was a Managing Director at GSG Impact, where he spent six years leading the firm’s private capital funds and investment vehicles activity, with responsibility for revenue growth and overall strategy. Before that, he spent eleven years at Actis, the global energy infrastructure firm (now owned by General Atlantic), holding senior roles across both investment and investor development. As Investment Director, he co-managed and exited a $1.3 billion energy portfolio, and later, in Investor Development, he co-led the raise of over $3 billion across private equity, energy infrastructure, and real estate strategies.
