FIRSTavenue Announces Launch of Social Mobility Programme

First hire announced under new initiative designed to increase equal opportunity in the investment industry and enhance the firm’s strong track record of identifying and developing diverse talent

London, 14^th February 2023 – FIRSTavenue, a leading global private funds placement agent and investment advisory firm specialising in private credit, real assets, private equity and associated capital solutions, is pleased to announce the launch of its social mobility programme.

FIRSTavenue is aiming to improve the accessibility of the alternative investment industry by investing in talent pools that are representative of the community and society in the UK. The launch of the programme is reflective of FIRSTavenue’s commitment to increase equal opportunity in the investment industry.

Through its social mobility programme, FIRSTavenue is exploring relationships with organisations that deliver support to young people, to facilitate professional opportunities for talented individuals.

To start the programme, FIRSTavenue partnered with SEO London, a UK-registered charity delivering superior educational, training, and mentoring support to young people from underrepresented and underserved backgrounds. Following an intensive selection process, FIRSTavenue have appointed its first full-time recruit and hopes to build a strong and diverse pipeline. This hire will be supplemented with the development of internship and work experience opportunities for those still within full-time education.
