We are aware that an individual / group of individuals, alleging to work or represent FIRSTavenue and/or First Avenue Partners Asia Limited, have been operating what appears to be a possible investment scam targeting, as we understand it currently, retail / individuals in Hong Kong.
FIRSTavenue (“FA”), including its Hong Kong affiliate, First Avenue Partners Asia Limited, does not deal with retail clients / individuals, neither in Hong Kong nor anywhere else globally. FA exclusively deals with institutional / professional clients in connection with its private market placement and advisory businesses.
In this capacity, FA acts solely as a financial intermediary between investment fund vehicles and investors – we will never ask any of our clients to send us any client money or assets and we do not operate any client accounts. FA does not have any investment platforms or provide investment products / services except for private markets placement activities and advice associated with such activities.
We have reported this matter to the Hong Kong Police as well as the Securities & Futures Commission. We would recommend anyone who has been impacted by this matter to contact the Hong Kong Police / law enforcement authorities.
